Tank Mountains Meteorite For Sale
Tank Mountains was found in 2010 by J. King in Arizona. King found a total of ten meteorite fragments while he was prospecting for gold. The pieces weighed a total of 8.05 kilograms and fit together. Tank Mountains is classified as an L6 ordinary chondrite. The meteorite was studied by Dr. Garvie at Arizona State University.
Tank Mountains meteorites have some remnant fusion crust and is described as angular, with broad regmaglypts. The interior of Tank Mountains meteorites are orange-stained and reveal small metal grains and some discernible chondrules. Thin shock veins are also visible in slices of this meteorite.
