The NWA 15662 meteorite is an ordinary chondrite type LL3. NWA 15662 was purchased in 2022. Forty matching reddish brown stone were recovered of NWA 15662 with a total known weight of 14 kilograms.
NWA 15662 has a weathered exterior with some stones showing patches of smooth fusion crust. Cut surfaces of NWA 15662 reveal dense packed large chondrules some up to 4 mm in diameter. NWA 15662 has a low shock stage of S1 and is a bit weathered with a weathering grade of W2.
