NWA 12925 is a CK5 type carbonaceous chondrite. NWA 12925 was found as a single 3.8 kilogram stone and purchased December 2018 in Morocco. The meteorite had a dark fusion crusted exterior. Saw cut and broken surfaces of NWA 12925 show a dark interior with a few large chondrules of over 1 mm and CAIs can be visible. NWA 12925 is a friable meteorite.
NWA 12925 consists of numerous texturally equilibrated chondrules, chromium-bearing magnetite and pentlandite. The olivine is nickel-bearing and the matrix is recrystallized with some fragmental plagioclase. NWA 12925 is a low shock and low weathering state meteorite. NWA 12925 is a friable meteorite.
