The Moss meteorite fell on July 14th 2006 in the region of Moss-Rygge, Norway at 10:20 am. Approximately 4 kgs. of total known weight was recovered in about five stones Classified as a CO3 carbonaceous chondrite it is only one of 6 in this group and of significant scientific importance. Petrographic and mineral analysis suggest that it is closest to a 3.6 grade. Such small weight falls are always highly sought after and we are pleased to be able to offer these nice fragments.
