Veevers was found in 1984 in Western Australia. The meteorites were recovered around the Veevers crater, which measures 80 meters in diameter. Only 34 small fragments were found. Veevers is rare, with a relatively low total mass of only 300 grams.

Veevers meteorites are small, and a striking orange color. Veevers meteorites are classified as IIAB iron meteorites. These meteorites are coarse octahedrites and contain about 5.8% nickel.
