Clarendon (c) Meteorite For Sale
The Clarendon (c) meteorite was found in on a Texas ranch in 2015. On April 6, 2015 Frank and DeeDee Hommel were riding horses on their property when the equines became visibly agitated at the sight of a large, unusual rock. That piece, along with several other fragments, were excavated and found to weigh approximately 377 kilograms in total.
Clarendon (c) meteorites have a reddish-brown exterior and no fusion crust. The interior of this meteorite is a soft gray color, with an abundance of bright metal grains. Clarendon (c) also combines kamacite, plagioclase, and troilite, among other minerals. The meteorite is classified as an L4 ordinary chondrite.
